Job description.
Service-Related Tasks
- Responsibility of installing, configuring, maintaining, and training users on the data management system. You’ll be involved from the tender request phase to final delivery and actively participate in project meetings.
- Resolve a wide range of issues related to the data management system, from simple user interface tasks like creating new users to complex challenges involving ADT (data recording), LIS, LMS (learning management systems), and network or VPN configurations.
- Set up and maintain secured connections by requesting and configuring virtual environments from KPN. You’ll also configure customer routers to ensure “Plug-and-Play” readiness.
- Prepare for the rollout of new products, providing hands-on support during controlled launch phases.
- Troubleshoot legacy systems, handling everything from straightforward user interface queries to advanced LIS and ADT integration problems.
- Address connectivity issues for all systems in the Siemens Healthineers POC portfolio.
- Install service software and provide customers with dedicated support to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with resolving cartridge-related problems by organizing shared email boxes and maintaining registration lists.
- Manage and support software updates for all systems mentioned.
- Escalate complex issues to regional (RSC) or global (HSC/R&D) support teams when necessary.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage integrations effectively, leveraging the data management system as an open middleware platform.
- Participate in global meetings on topics such as POC IT, blood gas, urine, and DCA technologies.
Sales-Related Tasks
- Provide technical expertise and IT-focused support for tenders involving the data management system and other Siemens Healthineers POC products.
- Participate in onsite demonstrations of the data management system, secured connections, and other Siemens Healthineers POC portfolio solutions.
- Create and present clear overviews of data management system installations, license usage, and related statistics.
- Development-Related Tasks
- Write specialized scripts (e.g., for learning management systems) to ensure accurate and seamless data integration into the data management system, distinguishing the company from competitors.
- Innovate secured connection solutions to make them more cost-effective and broadly applicable.
- Develop remote monitoring features for secured connections, such as proactive push notifications to report malfunctions before they escalate.
Time Allocation
- 60%: Support and troubleshooting of the data management system and secured connections.
- 20%: Project work focused on implementing and migrating the data management system.
- 20%: Sales support and assistance with other POC products.
Your work will mainly be based in Belgium (Dutch- and French-speaking regions), with occasional support provided to the Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Austria.
Candidate profile.
- Solid knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux).
- Familiarity with utilities like Putty, Packet Sender, and Netscan.
- Strong experience with network configurations and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of HL7, ASTM, LDT, and other communication standards.
- Capability to measure and diagnose data flows in laboratory environments while adhering to strict security constraints.
- Experience with SQL and database systems, particularly Advantage Database System.
- Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues on PCs and Linux servers.
- Fluency in Dutch, French, and English is essential; proficiency in German is a bonus.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with various stakeholders.
