Job description.

Hamilton is looking for a person who is eager to join a high performing team and be part of Hamilton´s journey towards creating a world-class support team. This is a fast paced yet enriching working environment that requires some travel within the Nordic countries.
As an application specialist, your role is to design automation solutions, develop customized methods and optimize liquid handling and performance. This in turn requires excellent communication with the customers as well as the capacity, rooted in life science, to understand the specific needs of the customers. You will also need to work together with Hamilton´s experts in Switzerland. The work can also include software and programming trainings for the customers and always ensuring customer satisfaction and on-time project delivery.
Part of the job also involves pre-sales activities that you will do together with Hamilton´s highly qualified sales team, such as customer visits, tradeshows and guiding the customer towards the right solution.
To successfully fulfil this position, you will need all your project management skills and manage your own time, projects, and other parallel activities. Hamilton expects you to be responsible and committed to delivering excellent results and they offer a flexible working environment, a great team and a lot of fun. It is important to understand that you are working remotely or at customer sites which means that in person contact with your colleagues will be limited in your daily work.
Candidate profile.
- A background in life science or engineering with life science lab experience
- Good planning and communicative skills
- Good programming skills - you must have experience programming in C, C#, Python or similar. Not a hardcore programmer, but someone who understands the basic concepts and can apply them
- Take responsibility and work independently
- Be creative and solve problems independently
- Be part of a team and share knowledge
- Must be able to travel nationally and internationally. Mainly in the Nordics. (Between 30-40 travel days/year.)
- Manage activities across multiple projects
- Speaking Norwegian, Swedish or Danish is a plus, but not a must
- Have an EU citizenship or a permanent work permit for work and traveling within the EU
- Driver’s license
