For FrieslandCampina Cheese, Butter & Milkpowder we are searching for a Safety Manager.
FrieslandCampina is a major player in the cheese and butter segment. Each year they process nearly 400 million kilos of cream into butter and 4.5 billion kilos of milk into cheese. Most of the cream and milk comes from the member dairy farmers in the Netherlands.
The business group has two R&D departments, one in Tilburg and one in Wolvega and 14 Production sites.

Job description.

The Safety Manager will be working for the Business Group Cheese,Butter and Milkpowder at the Central Qualty Assurance division at the Head Office of FrieslandCampina in Amersfoort.
He/she will be responsible for setting up and deploying the overall safety programme for the division Cheese, Butter & Milk powder, to achieve the vision with respect to safety performance. Furthermore, the Safety Manager will be responsible for central SHE support to CBM in case of disasters and accidents, at audits and with WCOM/standardisation.
A Safety Program and Standards will be set up by the Corporate SHE Expert. Task of the Safety Manager will be to unroll the Safety Program at all sites of the Business Unit Cheese, Butter & Milk powder. Each site will have its own points of attention and type of accident risks. The safety Manager has to streamline the strategy to the different sites. He/she must be able to act as a manager but also as an expert in case of e.g. accidents.

Candidate profile.

  • Bachelor or Academic education;
  • At least 8 years’ experience in SHE management/consultancy for industry of which 4 years in the field of safety;
  • (Higher) Safety education (MVK;HVK) is an advantage;
  • Experience with change management/continuous improvement;
  • Experience with presentation for large groups;
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written
