Job description.

As COO, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all operational aspects of the company to ensure efficient processes, high-quality service delivery and alignment with strategic objectives. You define and implement a monitoring system for their most critical business processes (including financial processes, budget, reporting tools etc.).

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the company's operations, including finance, office management, and human resources.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement strategies to improve operational processes and procedures.
  • You support the creation of the annual budgets for the operational departments.
  • You define the targets for the different operational departments with the CEO.
  • Define and implement a robust monitoring system for critical business processes.
  • You collaborate closely with the CEO to define the strategy, the company budget, and you will oversee the implementation of the plans in order to achieve the company targets.
  • You assist the CEO in defining the long-term operations plans for your operational functions.
  • You support the future operational growth of their US organization.
  • You have strong analytical, managerial, communications and leadership skills. You can motivate people to achieve their targets given the agreed deadlines.
  • You show involvement in your colleagues and know what’s going on in all the departments. The candidate will focus on a disciplined and healthy work environment.
  • You help define and steer a smart variable compensation system in line with the company targets.
     

Candidate profile.

  • You hold a master degree.
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally as a COO or similar position.
  • Experience with Office tools is a must: experience with collaboration tools like JIRA and/or Confluence is a plus.
  • Knowledge of finance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare IT, more precisely in medical imaging, is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with a track record of driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience in the US market and familiarity with US operational requirements is advantageous.
  • You are fluently in English, both written and verbal (the knowledge of Dutch, French or other languages is a great asset) and love to learn and improve.
  • You are based in Belgium and you will work from the headquarters in Leuven, Belgium.
