Business Lead Heparin.

Hepac is producing a biochemical regulatory starting material (e.g. crude Heparin). The Business Lead Heparin will play a pivotal role in shaping the Heparin business.

Job description.

The Business Lead Heparin will report directly to the Region Director, Darling Ingredients,  and will work in close collaboration with other companies within the Darling Ingredients Group. Functional reports are the QA Manager Hepac, the Sales Backoffice, Purchase and Logistics. 

As Business Lead Heparin you are tasked with the Business Development and support for the heparin product portfolio. You will be(come) the expert in heparin production and quality frameworks in order to sell heparin to the regulated markets and be responsible for maximizing value optimization. The Business Lead is P&L responsible for the Heparin Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on business scenarios as requested by the Management.
  • Act as a bridge between internal teams; raw material suppliers and logistics teams.
  • Lead high-level planning for production at the Loenen and Burgum facilities.
  • Be the playing captain on process development and changes. 
  • Coordinate the Loenen team to align priorities and actions.
  • Develop the process from raw material to final product, including sourcing alternative raw material options and innovating advanced products to meet market demand.
  • Communicate across all levels of the organization, as well as with clients and suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices and volumes within the framework provided by the Sales & Marketing Director.
  • Write and implement necessary procedures.
     

Candidate profile.

  • Master degree in Pharma, Chemical Engineering or Food Technology.
  • Solid knowledge of cGMP.
  • Experience in Pharmaceutical and/or Food industry.
  • Strong commercial instincts with a scientific/technical mindset
  • Focus on structures and processes.
  • Analytical mindset with attention for details.
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to tackling challenges
  • Good communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent command / highly proficient in spoken and written English.
